As mentioned at the start of the video, I would recommend trying this out in-game before watching, and the same goes for reading this description. It's difficult to give my opinions on the level without touching on what makes it special. If you're still here despite these disclaimers, I assume you're fine. First of all, I've been waiting for this to come out for a few months, since the majority of it was made for the same 4-day contest as "CAPSULE" by Knots. This was actually the winner, and I hope that makes sense after watching this. It's a one of a kind experience trying to figure out how to get out of each part, all of which loop infinitely, requiring you to solve a small puzzle of some form. We did see a slightly similar idea in "IN FI NI TY" by AudieoVisual, but this takes it to a much higher level. The different puzzles are really cleverly made, with lots of variety to how they're solved. Figuring them out was quite fun to me, and I'm hopeful that the community also enjoys it. With the recent focus on sightreadability, I'm not sure, but we'll see. I think it would be awesome to see more creators make levels that require you to think more, like this does. It did take me over 30 minutes to figure out the first time, so I think an Easy Demon rating seems fair; the difficulty of each part isn't particularly high, but figuring out the solutions takes time. Also, even if you watch a video, I think reproducing the solutions take some effort too. So far, I've mostly talked about the gameplay, since that is the main draw of this level. However, the visuals are also really good. The metallic factory look in the first third fits perfectly with the introduction of the loop concept. It's also cool how it changes a bit as you traverse deeper after solving each puzzle. Many of these parts are quite static, but the user interface (overlay in the corners) is a nice way of adding some movement and synchronization to the song. The visuals do change a lot more further in, particularly from the climax at 1:51. Here, the gameplay is also not a puzzle at all, which feels a little out of place. I'd say it works well enough just because of the music at this part, and the colors match those seen at 0:57. It also feels like you've finally made it out of the loop at this point, as you escape the "experiment", which fits thematically. At the end, we see the source of the level name, a classic GIF in some Discord spaces, at which you need to restart the level from the pause menu to complete it. This is a fitting ending to a level like this. All in all, this level was executed perfectly by the team behind this in my opinion. I hope it gets at least a Legendary rating! ★ Become a Member of my channel for special perks: https://www.youtube.com/viprin/join VIDEO INFORMATION Game (version): Geometry Dash (2.2) Level: "experiment" by mbed, lumpy, pocke, Serponge and TheDevon ID: 112770258 Music: "Wavetapper" by Frums • [BOFU2015] Wavetapper [BGA] LINKS Discord: / discord Twitch: / viprin Twitter: / vipringd Thumbnail by Erdyuri: / erdyuri
