What does God actually accept? In Leviticus 22–23, we see that offerings must be without defect. Sacrifice cannot be careless. Time itself becomes sacred. Israel’s calendar rehearses redemption — Sabbath, Passover, Firstfruits, Atonement, Booths. Holiness shapes what is brought to God and how time is structured around Him. Then we move to Mark 9:30–10:12. Jesus predicts the cross. The disciples argue about greatness. He places a child in their midst. He calls for radical purity. He reaffirms covenant permanence in marriage. What Leviticus required at the altar, Jesus now requires in allegiance. In this teaching, we explore: • Why offerings had to be without blemish • How Israel’s calendar formed identity • What “greatness” looks like in the kingdom • Why ambition must be sacrificed • The meaning behind cutting off what causes sin • How marriage reflects covenant loyalty Leviticus teaches that worship must be whole. Mark teaches that discipleship must be surrendered. The altar demanded the best of the flock. The cross demands the best of the self. Holiness is not selective — it shapes worship, time, ambition, and relationships. If you’ve ever wrestled with whether you’re giving God your best or just what’s convenient, this passage confronts and clarifies. #christianyoutube #BibleStudy #Leviticus #Mark9 #Mark10 #Holiness #ChristianTeaching #Discipleship #BiblicalTheology #FollowJesus #ExpositoryPreaching
