Indications for Mini gastric Bypass/ Bariatric surgery / Weight loss surgery Candidates with • BMI ≥ 35 with co-morbidities like diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, fatty liver, infertility, osteoarthritis knee, Metabolic syndrome or • BMI ≥ 40 without commodities The purpose of mini gastric bypass is to bypass the pylorus so that food directly goes into the intestines. Our Technique - We make 5 small incisions (5-10mm) on abdomen. The first step is to reduce the size of the stomach so that it holds less food. A loop of small intestine preferably between 150 and 250 cms is bypassed and directly connected to the separated long stomach pouch by using stapling device.
