Downtown South Bend Soon To Become A Railfanning Hotspot

This is a very exciting announcement. The City of South Bend, IN has just purchased the former New York Central and Grand Trunk Western Union Station which is just a across from the Cubs Stadium, better known as Four Winds Field. The plan is to move the Amtrak station into the old Union Station to served by Amtrak's Capitol Limited and Lakeshore Limited. This is going to make South Bend a hotspot for trainwatching on the Norfolk Southern Chicago Line, since Canadian National's South Bend Subdivision connects to the Chicago Line. This is truly exciting for me, South Bend and the whole railfanning community.
