Perhaps you meant Green Lake (翠湖 Cui Hu) in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China? There doesn’t seem to be a well-known “Lutang Green Lake”; but if you were referring to Green Lake Park / Cuihu, here’s a detailed description. If that’s not right, I can try and track down the “Lutang Green Lake” more specifically. Green Lake Park (Cuihu), Kunming — Description Location & Setting Green Lake Park (翠湖公园, Cuihu Gongyuan) is an urban lake-park in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province in southwestern China. It lies at the foot of Wuhua Mountain (and near Luofeng Mountain), fairly central in the city. History & Development The area used to be a bay of Dianchi Lake in the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368). Over time, water levels changed and land reclamation occurred. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the site was developed with pavilions, gardens, and walkways. Important causeways and pavilions were built during Qing as well as in early Republican period (early 20th century). Layout & Features The lake is divided by two causeways (Ruan Causeway and Tang Causeway) into sections. There are several islets and pavilions: Mid-Lake Islet (with Mid-Lake Pavilion, Fish-Viewing Pavilion, etc.), Bamboo Forest Islet, Goldfish Islet, Palm Garden, and more. Plant life includes willows, various bamboos (dozens of species), camphor trees, cedars, flowering plants. What It’s Like Today It’s a popular local gathering space: people do tai chi, dance, practice music, sing folk songs, relax by the water. In winter (roughly December to February), migratory black-headed gulls come from Siberia, making the lake a bird-watching/feeding attraction. There are tea houses, restaurants, shops around the perimeter of the lake; also hotels nearby. Visiting Info Visiting time: one to two hours is often enough to tour the lake if walking leisurely. Best times: Winter if you want the gulls; also pleasant in spring/summer when the vegetation is lush. It’s free to enter. Cultural Importance It’s more than just a scenic spot; it is woven into local life. You see people exercising early morning, socializing, performing arts, etc. There are historical buildings likeh the old Jiangwutang (a military acadeji my) on its edge.#drkid #vlog #china #travel #viral
