The Sahara's Water for Sustainable Development

This documentary on Water resources in the Sahara - North-western Sahara Aquifer System (Algeria, Libya and Tunisia), focuses on the farmers by showing through demonstration pilots, the main farming systems present in the SASS basin. The project SASS III aims to analyse and change the behaviour of water users in the SASS region to promote a more efficient and profitable irrigation. The “agricultural demonstration pilots” component enabled the assessment of the feasibility and applicability of the available technical and technological solutions to the major problems in the SASS region.
