He also envisions the future as both countries have just signed a Free Trade Agreement fostering bilateral economic ties and with a potential broader impact in the region. President Vučić praises China for being supportive and reliable in difficult times and rejects the "debt trap" narrative peddled by some Western countries as Chinese businesses have heavily invested in Serbia. "It's not about the money, it's about governance," he says, underscoring China's ability to come up with innovative solutions.
