Baby Central Apnea Story
This is our Baby Central Apnea Story (and now Toddler Central Apnea Story). This is the story of Tessie's experience with central apnea. She was born at 39 1/2 weeks and was diagnosed when she was just over six months old (I am making this video one year from the day that she admitted to the PICU for observation following the results of her sleep study). After discharge from the hospital her doctors continued searching for an underlying cause and we began the battle for a monitor so that we would know when she stopped breathing and night, and then we began the battle to keep her monitor which has been far harder than we expected when the pulmonologist first called in the prescription at the beginning of last year.
