These rankings will be based on a combination of strength, durability, battle IQ and potential and what I mean by potential is if a character is at their best, how easily can they kill a Viltrumite. Ok so starting off with the number 1 ranked character, Battle Beast is the first person on this list. In issue 135 we found out that Battle Beast’s real name is Thokk and later on his backstory got explored in a separate comic. Thanks to this comic we know that Thokk’s home planet used to be a savage wasteland, where his species was constantly fighting. However as Battle Beast grew up, he became so powerful that he won every conflict by himself. Over time his dominance lead to the end of all wars on the planet, which allowed his people to evolve into a futuristic society. The problem was that by now Thokk had become addicted to battle and was filled with rage every second of the day. To prevent this rage from destroying his home Battle Beast left the planet, and began searching for someone stronger than himself. During this time he said that he conquered a thousand planets and showing that he’s not easily killed unlike the rest of his species. Infact in issue 67 he was described by one of his people as being immortal, since he’s been alive for so long, that there are members of his race who aren’t even sure that he’s real. To me this implies that Battle Beast literally can’t die unless he’s killed in battle and if that theory is correct, it would the result of his curse. In the Invincible universe characters like Monster Girl and Duplicate got their powers from a magical curse and although it’s not explicitly said that Thokk’s strength is magical, we can’t deny that his rage has been referred to as a curse multiple times. This curse is what drives him to keep fighting until death and for a long time he’d been searching for Viltrumites. Because of their reputation Battle Beast assumed that a Viltrumite would be able to kill him but it turns out not all Viltrumites are built the same. In season 1 he arrived on Earth as one of the henchman for Machine Head and during this battle he fought with Invincible. At the time he had no idea Mark was a Viltrumite and honestly if he did know, he probably would’ve got depression. Throughout their fight Invincible didn’t land a single punch in the show and received his 2nd worst beatdown of the season. If Thokk wanted he could’ve easily finished him off but instead he left in disgust, after being disappointed by the low quality of Earth’s heroes. The next time he faced a Viltrumite was when he broke him out of jail and although this guy doesn’t have a name, he was strong enough to be selected to execute Nolan.
