The WB/UPN Commercials (December 29, 2005)

Contents: Smallville - Hidden South Park - Free Hat (cuts off after 2nd ad break) Well, this is something I've had sitting around for awhile. I just haven't gotten around to uploading it for whatever reason, partially because I didn't know the date for the longest time. But aye, figured it out. Anyway, here's some WB and UPN commercials from late 2005, less than 9 months before both would go defunct to form The CW. This was one of those stations that had The WB as a secondary affiliate, so most of the promos here are for UPN; you can even see The WB listed at a certain time during one of the promos. In terms of other promos, we have one for the 10 at 10 newscast, Fear Factor, Half & Half, America's Next Top Model, Veronica Mars, and a whole host of UPN promos from this time. Of course, the most obvious thing to mention from here is the South Park bumper at 18:20. Around this time, South Park started to go into syndication, most notably on FOX, The WB, and UPN. The show was watered down, but many bumpers were made for the beginning and potentially the end of the show as "previews"; none of these have been uploaded to YouTube, and as such, are lost. This is the only one that has resurfaced currently, although I do plan on uploading one other bumper/commercial set with syndicated South Park, although it isn't from one of my tapes.
