How lucky were we, growing up in the 70s! If you grew up in the 70s in America, I guarantee this will make you nostalgic. This is a montage of highlights, most of them brightened by mom's 1000-watt smile. I made this on September 3, 2023, her first birthday when she is no longer on this earth to brighten our lives in person. I'm so grateful for this childhood and my amazing parents — thank you, Mom and Dad. Thanks also to Kodak and my dad for always having a video camera on hand. I have so much more film to digitize so stay tuned for the next chapters! In this montage: Christmases in my first house, on Hampton Boulevard in Greece; at Grammie and Grampa Pike's on Avondale Road; and on Bending Bough Drive in Webster. Plus, my mom's smooth moves on the slopes, my first crawl in 1969, Niagara Fall's trip (1971), Uncle Jerry and Uncle Deb's wedding (1973), ice skating and Easter (1973), Tod's birthday in 1974, Jersey Shore trip (1974), Adventureland, Disney World, and Webster Park Winter Carnival (1977). Thank you for the music: "Something in the Way She Moves" by James Taylor, "Close to You" by The Carpenters, "Kids In America" by Kim Wilde.
