How To Install Battery Power Cabling in a Center Console - Montauk 17 Part 12

In this video, I do show how to install the battery cabling in the console of the Classic Boston Whaler 17. This install is a bit more complex than usual. I have also installed a battery charger, a switch and a battery isolator. My goal with this install was to be able to keep both batteries charged whether the boat is on the trailer or under power in the water. I achieved this through the use of the dual sense battery isolator. The switch is there in case of an emergency where I need to use the house battery to start the outboard. The boat wiring I do in this video is mostly heavy gauge wiring. One of the challenges of installing the batteries a longer distance from the motor is having to increase the thickness of the wire. In this case, I used 2 gauge marine grade, stranded and individually tinned wire. and show exactly where I connect the battery to the Yamaha F70 outboard.
