Where To Live In Richmond VA: Living In Short Pump VA Vs Living In Midlothian VA

If you are thinking about moving to Richmond Virginia and you are considering living in either Short Pump VA or Midlothian VA, this is the video for you! Short Pump & Midlothian are two of the most sought after suburbs around Richmond and for good reason. In this video we will explain the differences and the similarities between these two suburbs. We will provide you with information about the nearby commercial amenities of each and provide you with information regarding the real estate market in each area. Plus we will also give you tips for helping you decide which area is the best fit for you. Highlights: Short Pump VA - excellent commercial amenities with some of the best shopping, dining, and entertainment around, second only to perhaps the city of Richmond itself. Everything you could ever need or want is located within a 5-6 minute drive of the area. The cons would be that W. Broad St. can get congested at times, and the real estate market doesn't deliver the best bang for you buck. Reason being a lot of the pricing for the homes is factoring in that the location is excellent due to the nearby commercial amenities, plus the school systems are highly rated. Midlothian VA - is a very close second place in our opinion. In terms of commercial amenities, a lot of what Short Pump has, Midlothian also has. The difference relating to commercial amenities is that the main commercial bubble for Midlothian (Midlothian Turnpike) isn't quite as dense as Short Pump's commercial bubble. Midlothian does have its' own mall but it isn't as nice as the Short Pump mall. The other con related to Midlothian and part of the reason why we rank it 2nd place is because traffic along highway 288 traveling northbound in the mornings or traveling towards Midlothian in the evenings is very congested. Due to these cons the real estate in Midlothian comes at a discount and you can get an equivalent home for less, or a nicer home for a similar price compared to the real estate within Short Pump.
