Does Weapon Type Matter in Fable The Lost Chapters?

Today I will be testing something I have been wondering for quite some time now, and that is whether or not weapon type makes any difference damage-wise for certain enemies in Fable. For those who don't know, the description on certain weapons hint that there may be certain benefits to using specific weapons against specific enemies. More specifically, the Master Pickhammer description alleges that pickhammers should be able to easily pierce armor, alluding to a possibility that pickhammers carry a similar effect to the piercing augmentation, which is also claims to "reduce the effectiveness of enemy armour". This seems to hint that the pickhammer may deal bonus damage to enemies who are weak against piercing damage, and that possibly not all weapons are made the same. Well let's find out once and for all, whether or not weapon type really makes a difference in Fable Anniversary / Fable TLC!
