Nihat KOÇ, 79, and his wife Şenay KOÇ, 74, live in Kutlusu Yaylası in Köprübaşı district of Trabzon. The couple, who are the last owners of the quiet and isolated mountains, strive to keep the yayla alive as the only family looking after animals on the yayla. However, they are having a hard time due to the inadequate electricity on the yayla and their advancing age. Nihat KOÇ complains that the yaylas have lost their purpose due to people only coming to the yayla for vacation and misses the old times. The couple, who have to go down to Sürmene due to the cold weather and the arrival of winter, are upset about this situation.
