Sony MZ-E10 MiniDisc Player Repair Accessing the Battery via Side Door Only - Let's Figure This Out!

The Sony MZ-E10 is a technological tour de force from Sony (late 2002) and was the thinnest and lightest portable MDLP-capable MiniDisc player at the time. It's supremely light and thin build was attractive, but it sacrificed everything in the name of size. The remote used a proprietary connector and the main board was susceptible to breaking/bending, causing failures. Most of these today are pretty paperweights. I currently have 3 of them and only have one that's fully working. I do have hopes for one of the others, though... In my earlier videos, I wanted to be super-careful, so I didn't try to force anything through the side battery door, even though I saw some ambiguous documentation in the service manual. This time, thanks to collaborating with a brave Discord user, I went through the side door. Once with the lid off, then once without removing the lid at all, to see what was possible.
