Released in the UK in June 1958, "Gotta Getta Date", B-side to "Jennie Lee", was originally released in the US in April 1958 on Arwin with "Jennie Lee" peaking at Nr. 8 on the Billboard Pop Chart. Both sides were recorded in early 1958 at Jan Berry's garage studio in Los Angeles, California with Jan Berry and Arnie Ginsburg on vocals and Donald J. Altfeld on percussion.
