DeAgostini (Fanhome) Model-Space Millennium Falcon Custom Build - Episode 18. Welcome back to the desert. Thank you for joining me again. Happy New Year! It’s getting exciting. I love seeing the Falcon with her lights on. 0:04 – I decided to add some resistors to the front lights. All the new ventral landing lights I’m installing have a pre-wired resistor, so to help ensure no set of lights is too much brighter than the others, I’m installing resistors in the front. I also went ahead and installed the two marker lights. 1:36 – I wanted to make the brightness on the landing lights fore and aft of the ramp adjustable, especially since they each consist of 4 LEDs. I want them brighter than the other landing lights, but not too bright. If you watch ESB, you’ll see that the lights either side of the ramp are larger than the other landing lights (as is shown on the lighting drawing). I’m doing the same. Here is the Magic Smoke video: • Proof that Electronics are Powered by Magi... 3:52 – Power Distribution 6:38 – Center Headlights 8:56 – On the mandibles, since they already have power with the stock lights up front, I thought I’d add a few more. The 1978 drawing it shows landing lights on the lower side of the mandible. I also thought that any self-respecting spaceship would have a few marker lights, and not just those on the ventral side for filming. My plan is to have 4 by each airlock (not just the two seen in the movie), and 4 (2 top and 2 bottom) on the mandibles. I also want to add 2 to the rear; between the engine fans and the rear edge of the upper hull. I figured that should be the minimum lights required for safe flight. Anyway, I think it will look good and not take anything away from the model. 12:16 – I redid the landing lights and installed them. Installing the landing lights, I tried to aim each one to a separate spot on the table so that none of them are overlapping too much. 15:03 – Final Result I’m pretty happy. The shape of the lights mimics the Falcon. Having the articulating arm to mount it on makes moving it so easy. I can access the ventral side so easily. Thanks so much for watching. See you in a couple weeks. 0:04 - Front Light Resistor Addition 1:36 - “Quad” Landing Lights 3:52 - Power Distribution 6:36 - Center Headlights 8:56 - Mandible Lights 12:16 - Landing Lights (Re-Do and Installation) 15:03 - Final Result (Landing Lights) Music from #Uppbeat https://uppbeat.io/t/justin-lee/high-...
