I want to say that I meant to say rustic not ramshackle in the first restaurant 😬 Songhkla has one one the most beautiful Old Towns I've visited in Thailand packed full of unique food, coffee and old restored buildings. This is my kind of place! In my opinion, if you're heading to Hat Yai, you have to make time for at least a day trip to Songkhla. Today I headed out for the ultimate Thai street food tour which included roti mutabak at a super local Halal joint, some epic gai tod (Thai fried chicken), a unique Songkhla salad, a hand roated coffee and a local handmade ice cream. All topped off with a trip to an island for some ice cold beer and some of the best rad na and pad see ew I've ever had! Songkhla is amazing!
