This solves the name mismatch that happens when the VM is created with automation and makes remote management far easier. We mount the image, add SetupComplete scripts, and use registry data to pull the Hyper V guest name for a clean, automated rename experience. Once the Image is updated, we take it further by using PowerShell to fully automate the deployment of multiple Hyper V VMs—from naming conventions, to VM size, to startup behavior. Whether you're building a lab, testing environments, or creating repeatable VDI images, this end to end automation streamlines the entire process.
