Hiking Bighorn Trail - Close Grizzly Bear - Yellowstone National Park
This is a day hike on the Bighorn trail from the west side starting at the highway 191 trailhead. I ran into a grizzly at close range. There was still a lot of snow pack right after entering the Bear Management Area so I was not able to go much further then that. I did not see the grizzly on the way back down the trail. I see this grizzly in the same place at the same time almost every year. There is a certain spot that this grizzly likes digging up Spring Beauties, Voles, and Gophers every year in the spring.
