A look inside the solid-state laser from the TruMicro series of micro-processing lasers from TRUMPF. Based on disk laser technology the TruMicro 5000 picosecond lasers are available with up to 100 Watts, and in wavelengths of 1030nm, 515nm and 343nm. Using fiber beam delivery, the TruMicro 7000 nanosecond disk lasers are available with up to 750 Watts and in wavelengths of 1030nm and 515nm. Typical applications for short and ultra-short pulsed processing include edge deletion for solar cells, and drilling and cutting without heat input in materials such as silicon and glass. Stent cutting without residual heat for the medical industry is also possible without water or post processing operations.
