Matthew Vaughn was actually under the assumption that he was going to direct the X-Men First Class sequel “Days of Future Past” so much so that he was the one who originally wrote the damn script. However, 20th Century FOX would screw him over when they revealed that they had a legal obligation to let Bryan Peter File Singer have first dibs at directing. After getting disrespected like that, Matthew Vaughn would decide to do his own thing and direct this Kingsman movie instead. That actually wouldn’t be the first time Matthew Vaughn dealt with some shadiness from 20th Century FOX…as Matthew Vaughn was actually originally supposed to direct 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand”. However, Matthew Vaughn would drop out immediately when he discovered that FOX was trying to trick Oscar winning actress Halee Berry to sign onto X3 by giving her a fake script. In that fake script, Halle Berry’s character Storm was going to save a bunch of thirsty children in Africa by bringing some much needed rain to their region.
