The glossy plastic back is steel-reinforced and feels very solid, unlike a lot of other plastic-back phones on the market. Not to say that this makes the iPhone 5C an inferior phone, but its something worth noting. The phone is, however, a bit thicker and heavier than both the iPhone 5 and 5s. A lower price for the thrifty: On contract in the US, the phone was released for $100. However, retailers such as Walmart and Best Buy have begun to offer it for a bit less than the original price. And at this price, it makes the iPhone 5C very competitive for a price-conscious buyer who is in the market for an iPhone. Our final verdict: Through the course of our iPhone 5C review, we found that the iPhone 5C is a reliable phone with all the features you would expect from an Apple product. While the iPhone 5c is not the best iPhone or smartphone on the market, it offers people on a tighter budget a solid entry-level iPhone option.
