What a coincidence to meet, walk along with me, if you feel like it... We are exploring a place called Haukkavuori (EN: Hawk Mountain) Nature Reserve in Finland. If you're a birdwatcher, you will love this area, for sure. In August, which this scene was recorded in, the vegetation is still flourishing all around us. This wooden boardwalk is guiding us inside the forest, towards the Kerava River. The full trail is about 3 km long. Haukkavuori has a representative species of birds, bats and butterflies, aswell as several rare plant species. The Daubenton's bat, Northern bat and Brandt's bats have been spotted in the area. In 2018 a Siberian flying squirrel was also spotted. In 2020 Haukkavuori Nature Reserve got rehabilitated with new wooden signposts, boardwalks and a landscape platform. A grill fireplace can be found around the entrance, remember to bring your own firewood, lighter ... and food. These kind of nature walks are like therapy to me and i try to share them with you, whenever i can... I know that my communication to you, my audience, can seem to be lacking, in some way...
