ElectroBIM is an add-in for Revit that adds electrical calculations to your existing Revit model. Revit does not handle bus ducts well. There are a few different ways you can model them, each with different tradeoffs. We explore the options that are available and how the options impact single-line diagrams and calculations in ElectroBIM. ---------- Additional online training information: http://www.designmaster.biz/support/o... ---------- Learn more about ElectroBIM: http://www.designmaster.biz/revit ---------- 00:00 Intro 00:30 The difficulties of modeling bus ducts in Revit 01:06 Conceptualizing how to model bus ducts using the Electrical Design Triangle 05:50 Connecting subfeed panels directly to the bus duct in the model 08:38 Drafting the connections in the single-line diagram 11:01 Configuring the connection values for calculations using the Panel Edit command 16:16 Displaying custom wire callouts in schedules 18:33 How this configuration affects calculations 19:05 Connecting subfeed panels to nodes being fed by the bus duct in the model 20:00 Different ways devices can be connected to gather calculated values at different points 20:42 How this configuration affects calculations 21:45 Drafting the connections in the single-line diagram 23:07 "What happens if custom feeders use the same Feeder ID but have different callouts?" 23:53 "If I need to see how load changes on one panel affect the voltage drop on the other panels, how should I model my bus duct connections?" 25:04 "How would I model bus ducts that are different ampacities at different sections?" 28:04 "Can custom callouts be predefined at the project level?"
