My improvised music group Horizon Overflow is playing tonight at the Red Room along with Morgan Evans-Weiler. Tonight (16 Jan 2026) Horizon Overflow consists of Max Gong, Nate Scheible, Rose Burt, and myself. I might play this very patch tonight! This patch, the Necrolin is a variation on the Benjolin where the LFOs are replaced by resonant filters shaped into near square and triangle waveforms by tanh functions. This allows an envelope follower to use the output level to shape the resonance of the filters. With the right settings, the LFO-filters that drive the patch die and reanimate repeatedly. The Doepfer matrix mixer is used to mix the Rungler output with the LFO-filters outputs in many astonishing combinations driving the frequency CV of the pinged filters, the LFO-filters, and the response of the envelope follower. #eurorack #feedbackmusic #benjolin #synthesizer #modularsynth #experimentalmusic
