This estate of twelve self-contained, stylish houses is nestled in the woodlands of Hakuba Valley. The Gakuto Villas is a small estate of 12 wooden, two-storey lodges, nestled in a small cul-de-sac amongst Hakuba Valley’s pristine woodland. Everything is nearby – rentals, restaurants, a shuttle stop to get you to local resorts, or Happo Ski Resort is a short five-minute walk away. Wood finishes and simple, chic styling are present throughout each chalet and each chalet is made light and airy by the steepled ceilings and skylights. Ample windows on each floor look out over the surrounding forests and help bring Hakuba’s nature indoors. Each villa has a kitchenette with a three-quarter sized fridge, microwave, a full host of appliances and utensils to help you cook during your stay. There is free high-speed WiFi throughout each lodge and the the living room features a flat-screen TV with cable and satellite channels and a DVD player. There is ski storage in the entrance way, a dedicated washer and dryer in the unit, a bedroom and a bathroom on each floor, sleeping four adults as the standard setup. Two extra guests can stay for an extra charge: one fold-out bed can be placed in the upstairs bedroom, while a second guest can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room.
