I'd been seeing this wonderful mountain for many years. Its such a great lump! After some thought, Hamish and I decided to give it a go. Via the normal route up the ridge from the #Glecksteinhut. Its an AWESOME route. The early start from the hut meant we needed to start the climb in the dark. Crossing the small but steep Chrinnen Glacier, to then scramble across to gain the thin and seemingly precarious #Willsgratli Ridge to the Wettersattle. We did it! It was an awesome climb and the biggest route we'd done in the Alps. At a higher grade. Unfortunately because we were concerned about time, not being sure about our progress, and hearing a group from the previous day were very late to the Dossen Hut, we skipped the summit. Now it nags at me and I need to go back! As it happens, we later mad a navigation error extending our time on the way, so we needed that time after all.
