After a string of robberies, Balaram fleas the country abandoning his wife and son. Cruel circumstances separate mother and child, leabing the young boy under the care of good men who name him Shekhar and raise him to be a well educated gentleman. Shekhar (Jaishankar) falls in love with Saradha who is the only daughter of wealthy banker, Ranganathan. Meanwhile, Balaram has returned to the country and with the help of his step son Mohan runs a shady business under the alias, Balasundaram. He targets Ranganathan and plots to con him, while Mohan sets his eyes on Saradha. Soon, a deadly game of deception is set in motion where everyone is left to confront their past.
