Come sail with The Philly Captain as we trek from the neon lights of Texas to the quiet beauty of the Arizona desert. This one got a little heavy, folks. We start off at the massive Buc-ee’s in Amarillo, but between the beaver nuggets and the brisket, I couldn’t help but get emotional thinking about my good friend Adam the Woo. He belonged on these roads, and I felt him with me every mile. In this video: Buc-ee’s (Amarillo): Taking in the spectacle of the world’s most famous gas station. The Big Texan Steak Ranch: Checking out the legendary 72oz steak house and the Horse Hotel—because even the horses need a place to crash in Texas! Slug Bug Ranch: Forget the Cadillacs—we’re hitting the VW Bugs. I’m grabbing the spray paint and leaving my mark where the graffiti is actually encouraged. The Midpoint Cafe: Stopping for a photo at the famous Midway sign—the official center of Route 66. Santa Rosa Blue Hole: A hidden sapphire in the New Mexico desert. Another moment of reflection for Adam in one of the most peaceful spots on earth. Grand Canyon Sunrise: We end the journey at the edge of the world, watching the sun come up over the canyon. It’s unscripted, it’s real, and it’s unmistakably Philly. Hit that LIKE button, SUBSCRIBE for the journey, and check out the links below to support the channel!
