I had two subwoofers using Peerless XLS10 (4-ohm version) driver in a sealed box with Linkwitz-transform running on miniDSP. The plan was to use these for movies and music but they never worked too well for music and I also didn’t need them in my tiny space where the speakers were in corners getting plenty of bass boost. Therefore, I wanted to make them ported boxes to get more output for cinema use and also upgrade the look by veneering them as I did for my small speakers. 0:00 Intro 0:37 Old subwoofers 0:55 Simulation in WinISD 3:48 Cabinet design with Shapr3D 5:34 Cabined building 8:40 Front panel veneering 15:53 Driver mounting 20:57 Measurements 24:36 Simulation in VituixCAD 25:58 Cabinet building and veneering 31:23 Finishing the cabinets 33:31 End results and conclusions Links -WinISD (old website, old SW) http://www.linearteam.org -VituixCAD https://kimmosaunisto.net -Shapr3D https://www.shapr3d.com See the first video on veneering the 7 coaxial Atmos speakers.
