Most people use their resin printers to create something useful. I decided to print a nun with an AK-47. In this video, I demonstrate the full painting process for a 1/9 scale resin bust. The project focuses on traditional brush-painting techniques, moving from the initial base coats to final weathering effects. I use a combination of acrylics and oils to tackle common figure painting challenges, such as rendering convincing skin tones and managing large areas of black fabric without making things boring! Model is from Cults3D: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/n... Give this video if you want to see how I painted: Face & Eyes: Applying glazes of purple, pink, and yellow to create realistic flesh tones and tips for positioning pupils on a larger scale. Textured Fabric: Using pointillism to add interest to white cloth and oils to create depth in black garments. Digital Camouflage: A step-by-step approach to painting pixelated patterns on equipment. Weapon Finishing: Applying metallic markers, speedpaints for lenses, and enamel washes for a realistic, worn appearance.
