Great Britain is in a powerful position, as her expansion continues across the world, she begins to prepare for new offensives and seize more land to profit the crown. British armies are starting to assemble to prepare for the invasion of India from the Marathan Confederacy. They would be sent to Ceylon to await orders to begin the invasion. Meanwhile, in America, British forces have finally destroyed the tribes of the Council of Three Fires. With Moose Factory secured, British forces have begun the long march through unknown territory to reach the new major Native American tribes, the Dakota tribes. Before British forces could reach Yankton, they are ambushed by multiple large tribal forces. British General Inglis would be facing this ambush head on, while General McDowell's force was still behind. The British colonial forces fought hard against the odds, the support of cannons managed to help turn the tide in battle. The ambush parties were beaten and the survivors fled to Yankton, where they would wait for our approach. General McDowell managed to catch up and his fresh force would be leading the attack on Yankton. His force wins another crushing victory, and the Dakota tribes fall into British hands. The land, however, was far from the other British colonial possessions and would be hard to defend. Nevertheless, the great victory secures most of America under British rule. With great victories across the multiple theaters, it's time to look at securing more land in Europe, preferably, neutralizing the threat of the Islamic Emirate and their constant raids on British trade. To get to them, we must invade Morrocco to have not to worry about landing troops. Morrocco must first be captured before an advance can be made on the Barbary pirates. =================================== 0:00 - Start 05:41 - Dakota ambush 30:03 - Destroying the Dakota nation =================================== Great Britain is not a natural creation, but the marriage of separate kingdoms and peoples. The new nation has been through a century of unparalleled turbulence: an unwelcome joining of Scotland and England; religious strife; civil wars; an executed king; military dictatorship; a populist monarch restored; and the overthrow of a second king. Less than 15 years ago, the hated Catholic James II was forced into exile in the Glorious Revolution and a Protestant monarchy restored. A short, vicious war in Ireland put paid to any chance of a Catholic Stuart restoration. Nonetheless, the exiled James Stuart has sympathisers, the Jacobites, throughout Britain. Despite – or perhaps because of – this turbulent history, Britain is an engine driving the scientific and cultural advancement of northern Europe: turmoil fuels creativity. Britain’s strength lies at sea, but in trade and colonisation as much as naval power. Trade taxes pay for the navy; the navy allows unhindered trade. The English Channel keeps the French at bay and, to a lesser extent, the Dutch. With Dutchman William III on the British throne, there is ambivalence in the traditional rivalry with the Netherlands! The English and Scots like to think that they can sleep safe, that no foreign invader or tyranny need worry them. They are partly right, but only as long as there is no centralised Continental power. A nation that can unite the resources of Europe will surely crush the dream of Albion. This, then, is the fundamental aim of Britain: to side with the weak in Europe against the strong – and steal as many overseas possessions as possible while doing it! =================================== Conquer the 18th Century world on land and, for the first time in the Total War series, at sea!
