Jason Schreier built a reputation a reputable industry insider and investigative journalist. The issue with this, is he uses these credentials to push political propaganda under the guise of honest, factual journalism. Everyone of his articles seems to end with "crunch" being the core reason for video game's failing and it was purely dumb managers who caused the project to fail. While that may sometimes be true, if you listen to actual senior devs like Tim Cain, they'll tell you this is a fairly naive way of looking at things and there is usually much more to it. I get the feeling Jason's blaming of crunch on everything actually has nothing to do with games and it's more so his way of pushing political views onto people with his articles being "proof" that his world view is correct (views a lot of people in the game's industry share). His latest takedown of a Twitter user who questioned why Sweet Baby Inc didn't get a mention in his Why Suicide Squad Failed article is another example of this. He's now suggesting that because his investigation didn't dig up any bad dirt on Sweet Baby Inc., it means they aren't a problem and anyone saying so is a "grifter" and a rage baiter. The problem is he is someone in complete support of Sweet Baby, the people inside Rocksteady he spoke to are also huge supporters of Sweet Baby, the entire industry is infested with people totally on board with Sweet Baby and that's the real problem. Most of these studios are rotten from the ground up, it extends to people like Jason and unless there's a massive clean out, we'll not only get duds like Suicide Squad that suck on every level (not just the over-the-top DEI stuff), but also games that feel like they could of been good if not for being ruined by the Sweet Baby style stuff. Do not listen to Jason.
