This recipe is for crispy, crunchy fried catfish with creamy grits and a decadent crab cream sauce loaded with onions, red peppers, cream, fresh corn, white wine, and of course: lump crab meat! And we can't skimp on the catfish, either! I chose the largest, meatiest catfish fillet I could find! This recipe is perfect for breakfast and/or brunch and will definitely stick to your ribs! LOL INGREDIENTS For Crispy Fried Catfish large catfish fillet, cleaned and pat dry fish fry of your choice (I used Louisiana Fish Fry) mustard 1 egg Seafood seasoning (I used Chef Paul P's) fresh cracked black pepper neutral oil for frying the catfish For Creamy Grits grits (quick or homestyle) milk/chicken stock, butter, cream, salt/pepper (for grits) For Crab Cream Sauce butter lobster base (I used Better than Bouillon) onion/bell pepper/scallion/corn/cherry tomatoes heavy cream/chicken stock/dry white wine (Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadet) lump or jumbo lump crab meat, seasoned lightly with seafood seasoning) fresh cracked black pepper All given measurements are an approximation and meant to be tailored to suit your individual preferences and dietary needs!
