✨ Today I’m sewing the Lawrence Dress by Helen’s Closet as part of my 90-Day Handmade Wardrobe Project! I had a ready-to-wear dress in my closet that I absolutely loved, and I thought the Lawrence would be the perfect pattern to create something similar. In this video, I’ll take you along as I: Share my wearable muslin (and the neckline adjustment I made) Talk through a chambray fabric mishap 😅 Sew the striped denim version (spoiler: fabric weight matters a LOT) Add ric rac trim for a fun detail Try out some styling ideas with belts, shoes, and a purse Reveal the finished dress after washing & drying The Lawrence Dress is a beginner-friendly pattern with no zippers, buttons, or elastic. It can be made as a top, knee-length dress, or maxi with either sleeveless or ruffle sleeve options. 💡 Recommended fabrics: lightweight woven fabrics with no stretch (linen, cotton lawn, poplin, voile, rayon challis, Tencel twill).
