Not far away, Pedra Longa rises like a natural obelisk watching over the coast. It is the starting (or ending) point of some of Sardinia’s most thrilling treks, such as the Selvaggio Blu: an extreme route perched above the sea, amidst the scent of juniper and breathtaking views. Here, the mountain meets the Mediterranean with a raw and magnetic force. In the interior, the island’s authentic heart beats among the Supramonte mountains. Orgosolo, famous for its rebellious murals, tells stories of struggle, identity, and pride through its painted walls. Nearby, Oliena smells of cannonau wine and millenary traditions: among stone alleys and folk festivals, one breathes the deepest and most mysterious soul of Sardinia. Further north, in the blue that separates Sardinia from Corsica, lies the Maddalena Archipelago, a mosaic of granite islands suspended over crystal-clear waters. Here, nature reigns supreme, between hidden coves and seabeds to explore. And then there’s Tavolara, a majestic and almost unreal island that rises like a mountain in the sea — legendary and solitary, a symbol of timeless beauty.
