In this video, I’m trying out Honeywell PTM7950 as an alternative to regular thermal paste on a gaming laptop. If you’ve ever repasted your laptop and seen temps go back up after a few months, you already know the problem. Thermal paste dries out and pumps out over time. PTM7950 is a phase-change thermal pad that’s used by OEMs and is supposed to last much longer, so I wanted to see if it’s actually worth using. I’ll show the application process, explain how PTM7950 works, and talk about whether it makes sense to switch from normal thermal paste—especially for gaming laptops that run hot all the time. This video is for anyone dealing with high temps, throttling, or who’s just tired of repasting again and again. If this helps you out, drop a like. Got questions or want to share your laptop temps?
