Spina Bifida is a congenital malformation of the spine. Children with Spina Bifida attend clinic appointments regularly where services such as medical assessments, health maintenance and management, assessments of activities of daily living and appropriate intervention, developmental assessments and management, provision of or consultation on therapy regimes, community education specific to child’s condition and functional abilities, provision of school/home programmes, transition facilitation and support, continence assessments and management, home visits: assessments, recommendations and management, educational facility assessments, orthopaedic management including assessment of and provision of orthoses.
