Twice to Asahidake | 二回の旭岳

In this video, I take you along on two different trips to Asahidake – the highest mountain in Hokkaido. The first time, strong winds shut down the ropeway, so we had to skin up the mountain ourselves. It was cold, windy, and tough – but that made reaching the hut at the top even more rewarding. To our surprise, there was a vending machine inside with hot chocolate and coffee. Pure bliss! The second time, I was riding with Dave and Rich. It was snowing and sill a little bit windy, and the conditions were promising – until Rich lost one of his skis. After an hour of searching in deep snow, we had to give up and head back.
