Kenmore Progressive Intelliclean Upright Vacuum

Here I'm showing is my other Intelliclean I have in my collection that was requested to be seen. This vacuum is made by Panasonic. I got this vacuum about 7 or 8 months ago from ebay for around $75 plus shipping. It's rare for me to buy something on ebay but this one was one of the exceptions. The only things that were missing when I got it was the HEPA filter and the upholstery tool. This was in excellent condition when I got it, all I had to do was simply wipe it down, replace the bag and the HEPA filter, and wash the pre motor guard filter. Other than that, this works amazingly. Now I actually have two of these, the other one I have is scrapped for parts so that's where I got the upholstery tool from. Just like my purple bagless model, I also have wanted one of these for a long time. This was mainly a childhood vacuum. My neighbors have this same model that replaced their Simplicity 7350, not sure if they still have it today or not. Technically when I first saw these online, I didn't like the looks of it as much as the first generation Progressive models but when I later saw this in person at my neighbors (Including at Sears), I was like I've got to have one of these. Compare to the purple model which I also have. The purple one was heavily advertised from Consumer Search as their #3 pick for best budget bagless upright, this one was advertised from Consumer Reports as their #1 pick as their best upright. I could care less about Consumer Reports but I have more faith for Consumer Search because I think they do better testing. In the end, my recommendation is to go out and try out different types of vacuums to see which one fits best to you. The exhaust filters are located in opposite sides, this one has a pre motor guard filter and a performance indicator light, and this one only has a two row brushroll while the purple one uses a four row brushroll. I think they both perform about the same on carpets but I prefer the four row brushroll instead so that's one thing that I like about the purple model better than this one. Another thing is that the purple one is a little bit more simpler to take apart than this one. But what I do like about this one better is that like I said this one uses a pre motor guard to catch any dirt before it gets to the motor and it does a better job on filtration. Overall if I had to pick which one I like better, I would pick this one over the purple model. Overall, this is a good vacuum. Powerful suction and airflow, good agitation and good filtration. One thing that I wished they would've done better is to put a better seal in the optiflow bag chamber. This could perhaps be my favorite second generation Progressive model of all time but I prefer the yellow bagged model over this one. Hope you enjoyed!
