This video is much different from my usual fare. I hope that you enjoy the digression. Here's the back story. On a whim while repairing my old wheelbarrow (purchased in 1968), I reflected on William Carlos Williams's "The Red Wheelbarrow" (written in 1923--over 100 years ago). I was suddenly overwhelmed by the truth of his poem's message (if there, indeed, is one): "How much does depend on a simple, basic red wheelbarrow"? In my case, 67 years of dependence--arguably the one yard and work tool that I could not do without. But, more importantly, its simple physical beauty came back to life after my restoration. Like new? Probably better than new in my eyes, in both form and function. I hope that this video reveals that truth. Thank you, Dr. Williams, for teaching me this valuable lesson, indeed, one more time through the magic of your imagist poetry. And many thanks to Stanley and Grimm for the gorgeous soundtrack for my homespun photos.
