A fast run of the The Tail of the Dragon done in a modified 370Z sports car. The whole route of Deal's Gap is highlighted, with famous corners named along the way. Deal's gap, better known by it's nickname "The Tail of the Dragon", is a famous tourist destination for motorcycle and car enthusiast alike. This two-lane, 10-mile stretch of road contains over 300 corners with names such as Copperhead Corner, Hog Pen Bend, Wheelie Hell, Shade Tree Corner, Mud Corner, Sunset Corner, Gravity Cavity, Beginner's End, and Brake or Bust Bend. When drawn out, these corners form the shape of a dragon's tail, hence the popular name sake. It also goes by the names Tapoco Road and Calderwood Highway, but is officially known as US 129. Hundreds of wrecks have occurred on this stretch of asphalt buried away in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which caused the speed limit to be reduced from 55mph to 30mph in the 1990's. Due to the increased traffic from groups such as Touge Fest being held hear each year, and constant speeding of enthusiasts pushing their bikes and cars to the limit, law enforcement has been stepped up.
