People have asked me how to remove the mower deck and add the full frame 44 snowblower. 1: I put a piece of 2X4 under each side of the deck, then lower it. 2: Remove the 2 attachments that hold the mower deck to the tractor frame on each side. 3: Then remove the drive belt and the front deck support/ hanger. This is for an electric PTO. If you have a manual PTO, you then have to remove the cable on the left side that engages the mower deck. Put this cable aside, as you will need it for the snowblower. 4: Slide deck from under tractor. Make sure to clean the grass and debris from the underside of the deck thoroughly (just like you do every other week in the summer). Brush with used motor oil, transmission fluid (my choice), or any spray lube. 5: Slide snowblower frame under front of tractor. You may have to lift front of tractor slightly to clear the steering. Or place tractor front wheels on a piece of 2X4. 6: Position rear of snowblower frame under plates that are mounted to frame. These are little dogleg shaped plates, about under front of seat edge on lower frame. 7: Use a piece of 4X4 and a length of 2X4 to create a lever to raise the erar of the deck. Roll tractor so that the hooks on blower frame meet the pins on tractor. Swing cams on blower frame over to close around the pins. Secure with pin and clip. 8: Mount front lift pin on right front, on plate mounted to front of tractor frame. Butterfly shape hole. 9: Move long lift lever so that you align the lift pin you just mounted on tractor, aligns to lift mechanism on blower. Secure with washer and clip. 10: Repeat on left side. Adjust height as needed. 11: Mount blower controls on dash with 1/4" carriage bolt and wing nut and washer. I place a small plastic ship around bolt to remove gap in dash mounting hole. 12: Place drive belt on blower to crank pully. If elector PTO, you are ready to blow. Use tire chains and rear weight, otherwise weight of blower means no traction for you. 13: If manual PTO, find cable from mower deck. Secure to appropriate hole on blower drive belt tensioner. When you engage lever, this draws tension onto belt to drive blower. Same function as mower deck. 14: Go blow.
