We used to sell 20 dozen eggs every single week. Today, we don’t — and that change was intentional. In this video, I’m sharing why we stopped pushing egg sales on our small farm, what changed when we moved into a more agriculture-based community, and how our priorities shifted from growing a farm business to building a life for our family. We still sell eggs — mostly duck eggs now — but our focus is different. With more land, a larger garden, and plans to breed out Boer goats for our family, this farm is less about scaling production and more about raising our kids in this environment. If you’re building a homestead, running a small farm, or wondering whether you should scale up egg production, this might help you think through your own direction. Topics in this video: Selling farm fresh eggs Small farm egg business reality Moving to an agriculture community Duck eggs vs chicken eggs Homestead lifestyle vs farm business Raising a family on a farm Why we changed our farm goals We don’t regret selling 20 dozen eggs a week. But we don’t regret slowing down either. #homestead #smallfarm #farmlife #raisingourfood #ducks #boergoats #farmfamily
