Hello again and welcome back! so, this is a very exciting time for us at The Dales Detectorist as we have managed to secure alot of really promising land in Northumberland! In this video this is the first time out on this land, that just so happens to have a castle right in the middle of it! The castle in question was built sometime in the late 1300s, but due to a disaster, was left in ruins for centuries until it was rebuilt in the early 1900s. let's see if we can unearth some history from around the time this castle was first built!
