Cover of Andy Mckee's "Dreamcatcher" off the album of the same name (2004). Had the chance to see Andy Mckee live last week for the first time, and he was absolutely incredible. Probably one of the best live music performances I've ever seen. Just superhuman musicality and consistency! I went to the merch booth to grab a shirt after the performance and saw he was hanging out there, and I definitely got a little starstruck. I think he sensed that I was more than a little shy and hesitant to walk up to him so he very kindly approached me first to ask if I wanted him to sign the shirt I had just bought, which was super cool of him. You can see his signature on my shirt in the video here. I mentioned that I had just finished learning Dreamcatcher, and he quipped that he didn't like to play it super often because of the stretches, which was a personally meaningful moment since I also struggled with them quite a lot. He was a super nice dude, and an absolutely phenomenal musician and performer. I'll definitely be seeing him again, and I'd recommend anyone else who hasn't seen him live to check him out!
