The 2025 McLaren Artura Spider has burst onto the supercar scene as the next plug-in hybrid (PHEV) convertible, following in the tyre tracks of the Ferrari 296 GTS, which also uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 engine as the basis for its series-parallel powertrain. Either way, times are changing. So, what does the new Artura Spider bring to the table? Well, aside from the being the drop-version of the two-seat Artura Coupe, it takes straight-line performance to the next level with an extra 15kW of power from its internal-combustion engine alone, taking the combined total to a formidable 515kW. Torque remains at 720Nm.
