Hello Friends, Today we are at one of the most famous waterfalls in the world…. Yes we are at Niagara Falls State park in New York. Niagara Falls has an interesting history, as it was the first state park in the United States. And In 1895, the world’s first large hydroelectric power station opened here. Niagara Falls consists of three waterfalls on the Niagara River, which marks the border between New York and Canada. The American side consists of two falls that is American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, and the Canadian Falls or Horseshoe Falls located on the Canadian side. This magnificent waterfall is nature's creation and not man-made. Canada has the panoramic views while America gets you up close and personal with the waterfalls. They provide ponchos and sandals for an up-close & wet view of the Bridal Veil Falls. Ponchos and sandals are free. There is a saying that in Canada you can see the Falls but in New York you can feel the Falls, referring to the “Cave of the Winds”. The Maid of the Mist departs from the U.S. side of Niagara Falls. The Maid of the Mist is a sightseeing boat tour of Niagara Falls, starting and ending on the American side, crossing briefly into Canada during a portion of the trip. It's awe-inspiring to see the 17-story-high thundering wall of water that slams into the Lower Niagara River. For more than 150 years, this ride has thrilled millions of tourists and is the top attraction in Niagara. A Must Do! Trips begin at 9 a.m. and tours depart every 15 minutes. The tour is 20 minutes long. Adults (13 years and above): $22.25 USD. Children (6-12 years): $13.00 USD. Children aged 5 and under: Free, but can ride with an adult only. These prices include access to the Observation Deck, the Elevator ride, and your ride on the Maid of the Mist. In addition to allowing service dogs on its boats, Maid of the Mist is also wheelchair accessible. There is a pedestrian walkway on the bridge and if you want to have a walk on the Rainbow bridge to visit Canada, you need a valid passport with you otherwise you will be denied entry.
